MAN KILLED IN QUAD BIKE CRASH NEAR TIMARU

A man is dead after a serious quad crash north of Timaru on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Prattley Road and Macaulay Road in Milford at around 11:40pm.

A quad bike left the road and the male rider died at the scene, police said in a statement.

A scene examination has been completed by the serious crash unit, and the circumstances remain under investigation.
