PERSON DIES IN ATV CRASH IN WAIHAO DOWNS

One person has died in a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in Waimate's Waihao Downs.

Police said emergency services were called to a Bridge Rd property shortly after 8pm on Saturday.

"A male was located on the property, and sadly died at the scene," a statement said.

No age was provided.

The Police Serious Crash Unit attended and the death will be referred to the Coroner.
