STATE HIGHWAY 2 CRASH INVOLVING TRUCK
A crash involving a truck has been reported on State Highway 2, between Baypark and Pāpāmoa.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline said a truck and a car had crashed on the highway.
The caller said the eastbound lane of the highway was blocked and emergency services had been called.
Google’s live traffic reporting showed there were delays in the area.
NZTA said due to a crash the left lane was blocked on the Tauranga Eastern Link, between Sandhurst Drive and Bruce Rd.
People are advised to avoid the area or expect delays in their travels.
A St John spokesman said one ambulance was at the scene but no details about any injuries were available yet.
