2025 MOTOGP GRAND PRIX OF FRANCE FP1 RESULTS: DUCATI’S MARC MARQUEZ SITS ON TOP, KTM ON THE RISE

The MotoGP Grand Prix of France has officially started on the Le Mans track, and Marc Marquez set the fastest lap time of 1:30.764s. The half LeMans track has enough turns for a MotoGP race, and the Spaniard with the fastest machine on the grid led the table. The most expected home riders, Fabio Quartararo and Johann Zarco, finished in P6 and P8. They are likely to improve in the next session, and they definitely won't disappoint the French fans who paid a visit to the Le Mans track.

MotoGP French GP FP1 summary

Ducati Factory Racing rider Marc Marquez set the fastest lap time at the Le Mans track. The Spaniard was in full flow throughout the session as he utilised the FP1 completely with fewer breaks. The unexpected and most surprising was the race pace of KTM Factory team rider Brad Binder. 

The South African finished in P2 next to Marquez as his teammate, Pedro Acosta, was 11th in the table. Overall, the session was satisfying for most of the riders, with championship leader Alex Marquez finishing third behind his brother and Binder. Compared with all other tracks, Mans is an old-school circuit that possesses unique challenges for the riders and let us see who shines and adapts well to these conditions.
